Labor Day Weekend kicked off with the annual Diocesan Cross Country Invitational, which traditionally draws more than 150 runners from six Catholic high schools: Bishop McDevitt, Delone Catholic, Lancaster Catholic, Trinity, and York Catholic, and Berks Catholic from the Diocese of Allentown.
York Catholic hosts the annual showcase – now in its 20th year – at John Rudy Park, a demanding course with lengthy upward slopes and sharp turns to challenge the long-distance runners.
The hosts of the invitational swept the meet in overall scoring, with the Fighting Irish girls and boys winning both team titles.
