The boys’ tennis team at Lancaster Catholic High School earned three championships at the Hershey Racquet Club this month, including the PIAA 2A Boys Team Tennis state title. The Crusaders defeated Masterman High School 3-1 in the finals on May 22 for their first ever boys’ state team tennis title.
In District 3 competition the previous weekend, Lancaster Catholic’s team of Brendan McNamara and George Brubaker won the Class 2A Boys Doubles Tennis Championship, beating Conrad Weiser’s Alex Waltz and Jayden Lewis 6-3, 6-1 in the finals. The Crusaders won the team district title – their third in school history – over Conrad Weiser, 3-0.
