With Thanksgiving in just a week, students and families at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional School in Coal Township presented donations of food and other goods during the November 19 school Mass. The donations were from school families and staff, and will be used to help those in need this Thanksgiving.
Each class in the school collected the items and then students representing each class presented the boxes.
“There are so many in need, but God always provides,” said Father Andrew Stahmer, pastor of Holy Angels Parish in Kulpmont and chaplain for the school. “We are so thankful for you. The Lord is looking upon each one of you and saying thank you.”
“That’s amazing, all those baskets,” said Sister Mary Chapman, IHM, school principal. “Thank you and your families for all your generosity.”
