Knights of Columbus Council 9164 at St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Quarryville will hold fish dinners for Lent on February 20 and March 6, 20 and 27. Dinners on February 20 and March 6 and 20 will consist of fish, cod or salmon, potatoes, vegetable, roll and a dessert. Cost is $15 per dinner, served from 5:30-6:40 p.m. March 27 will feature a family dinner of tomato soup, grilled cheese sandwiches or pizza. Meals are $10 for the entire family.
St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Mechanicsburg will have fish frys by Knights of Columbus Council 13100 on February 20 and March 6 and 20. Lenten dinners by the parish Council of Catholic Women will be served February 27 and March 27, and the parish will have a shepherd’s pie take-out dinner the weekend of March 13 and 14. Knights of Columbus Council 1530 of St. Joseph Parish in Dallastown will have their annual Lenten fish fry dinners every Friday evening during Lent starting on February 20 from 5-6:30 p.m. through April 3 in the parish center cafeteria. The menu consists of a fish sandwich, French fries, coleslaw and a beverage for $10. Kids menu of fish sticks, French fries, applesauce, and a beverage is $5. Dine-in or take-out.
The Knights of Columbus of St. Joan of Arc Parish in Hershey will have their fish fry in the social hall at 359 W. Areba Ave. on February 27 and March 13 and 27 from 4-7 p.m. Eat-in or take-out. Meal options include baked and fried fish, hand-cut fries, homemade mac and cheese, pierogies with onions and more. Platters offer your choice of baked or fried fish, one side (fries, mac and cheese, perogies), applesauce or coleslaw. The cost is $13 (two-piece fish) and includes a drink. Kids’ meals of mac and cheese, applesauce and a drink are $5.
An Ash Wednesday drive-through brown bag fish sandwich lunch will be served at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Enola on February 18 from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. The grab-and-go lunch includes a beer-battered haddock sandwich, coleslaw, macaroni & cheese, bottle of water, plasticware and tartar sauce. No substitutions or changes. First come, first served or until sold out. Cash/card only on day of pickup, or pre-order is available online (one or multiple lunches) with credit card at http://www.ourladyoflourdesenola.org. Milk chocolate peanut butter eggs will also be available by the dozen for this lunch for $20.
Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Enola will have fish, mac and cheese, crab cakes and pierogi dinners on February 20 and 27 and March 6, 13, 20 and 27 from 4-7 p.m., eat-in or take-out. Menu includes either seasoned baked cod or fried haddock, church-made baked macaroni and cheese, pierogies, crab cakes, veggie, stewed tomatoes, coleslaw, roll and dessert. Baked or fried fish dinners are $16, fish and pierogies are $16, mac and cheese dinners $14, pierogi dinners are $14 and crab cake dinners are $20/$25. Children’s meals are $6. Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Cornwall will have Lenten fish dinners every Wednesday beginning February 4 through April 1 from 4-6:30 p.m. Baked fish, fried fish, butterfly shrimp, chicken tenders or combo dinners that include either a baked potato or French fries, coleslaw or applesauce, a dinner roll with butter and a dessert for $13. Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Abbottstown will have Fish Fry Fridays in the social hall on February 20 and 27, and March 6 and 20 from 4:45-6:45 p.m. Stations of the Cross will begin in the church at 7 p.m.
Holy Spirit Parish in Palmyra will have a fish fry every Friday in Lent from February 20-March 27 from 3-7 p.m. Dinners include north Atlantic haddock (baked or fried), crab cakes, shrimp, clam strips, pierogies, soup and macaroni and cheese. St. Peter Parish in Columbia will host its 47th annual fish fry on Fridays, February 20 through March 27, from 4-6:30 p.m. Sandwiches (crab cake, oyster and fish fillet) and dinner platters (fish fillet, shrimp, oyster, scallop & crabcake and baked haddock) will be available. Good Shepherd Parish in Camp Hill will host its 7th annual Lenten fish fry in the parish hall each Friday beginning February 20 through March 27, from 4-6:30 p.m. Dine-in and take-out options are available. Menus include platters of 8 oz. baked haddock or 8 oz. breaded fried cod, your choice of one hot side (French fries, baked potato or macaroni and cheese), your choice of one cold side (coleslaw or applesauce), and a homemade dessert. Fish platters are $17. Pierogi platters that include six pierogis with or without onions and sour cream are available with your choice of applesauce or coleslaw for $10. Kids’ meals (12 and under only) include fish nuggets or popcorn chicken with your choice of French fries or macaroni and cheese, and applesauce for $9. St. Peter Parish in Elizabethtown will host a drive-through fish fry from 4:30-6:30 p.m. each Friday from February 20-March 27. GPS users should navigate to 904 Mill Road, Elizabethtown. The meal includes a large piece of battered haddock with a roll, fresh cut French fries, coleslaw, apple sauce and a desert. Handmade Easter eggs will be available for a separate fee. New this year, veggie and chicken corn soup sold frozen by the quart for $10. The baked fish dinners, hosted by the Knights of Columbus, will be available for eat-in or take-out and cost $15. The perohi will be sold frozen by the package for $7 and have fillings available of potato & cheese, cabbage, sauerkraut, prune and farmer cheese.
