Susan C. Daly Hartman, 75, of Lower Paxton Twp., died Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in UPMC Community Osteopathic Hospital, Lower Paxton Twp.
Sue gave four decades of service to the Diocese of Harrisburg, working as an administrative assistant in several offices at the Diocesan Center.
She was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School Class of 1964 and attended Hagerstown Business College, Hagerstown, Md.
Sue began her career with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg as a secretary in the Vocation Office in 1980 and advanced her career with the Diocese to administrative assistant in the Chancery until her retirement. She was a member of St. Catherine Labouré Parish in Harrisburg.
Sue was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ada May Umholtz Daly and the widow of Richard A. Hartman. Sue is survived by all of the priests in the Diocese of Harrisburg, as well as her friend, Connie Egan and her caregiver and friend, Carol Butler.
Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine Labouré Church, with Bishop Ronald Gainer as the principal celebrant. Entombment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp. There will be no viewing or visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Oberlin.
