Our Lady of Lourdes Regional School’s Vivian Reiprish trailed three times in the District 4 Girls Class 2A championships – including after the 17th hole in the final round. But the Red Raider climbed her way out with an 88 to win the two-day tournament by two strokes ahead of the PIAA individual championships next week.
A junior who placed third in last year’s district finals, Reiprish was also the Schuylkill League champion for 2025 before adding district gold to her collection of medals.
The District 4 tournament was contested October 10 and 11, with the first round at White Deer Golf Course in Montgomery, Pa., and the second and final round at Williamsport Country Club. The courses tested competitors’ skills as they navigated the tighter course of White Deer before hitting the faster greens at Williamsport.
Reiprish shot an 87 on the first day and an 88 on the second, edging out Central Columbia’s Lauren Brosius, 175 to 177, with a birdie on the final hole.
The PIAA Class 2A Golf Championships are October 21 and 22 at Penn State’s White Course.
