In Celebration of Marriage, Couples Renew Vows at Ephrata Parish

To celebrate World Marriage Day last weekend, more than 40 couples renewed their wedding vows at the Saturday Mass at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church in Ephrata on February 8. During an anniversary dinner dance afterwards, the newest married couple was recognized along with the longest married.

Gathered by the cake table are, from left, Ty and Joan Zerbe (61 years); Joe and Marlene Battisti (63 years); Bob and Charlotte Galgon (61 years); Father Paul Borowoski, C.Ss.R., pastor; Emily and Kyle Mazur (7 months); and Father Bob Harrison, C.Ss.R., associate pastor. Asked for his advice for a long marriage, Joe Battisti stated with a smile, “Never go to bed angry.”
