Diocese Honors Sisters Celebrating Anniversaries of Religious Profession

Religious Sisters in the Diocese of Harrisburg marking milestone anniversaries this year were recognized and honored during the annual Sisters’ Jubilee celebration, hosted by the Diocesan Secretariat for Clergy and Consecrated Life and the Diocesan Sisters Council, on Saturday, June 10.

The event, held at the Diocesan Center in Harrisburg, congratulated the Sisters for their ministry and service in their various ministries and religious congregations. The day began with Holy Mass, celebrated by Bishop Emeritus Ronald Gainer and concelebrated by Father Mark Speitel, Diocesan Secretary for Clergy and Consecrated Life. There was also a luncheon for the jubilarians and the members of their congregations who were present for the celebration.

“We do not just celebrate the years you have served, but the fidelity to your service,” Bishop Gainer told the jubilarians. “We thank you for that faithfulness.”
