Pax Christi Harrisburg will hold its annual Walking Way of the Cross in downtown Harrisburg on Good Friday, April 3, at 10 a.m. Participants should gather at 9:45 a.m. at Front and Market Streets by the Dauphin County Courthouse. The walk ends at Riverfront Park at Front and State Streets. The event connects Jesus’ journey to the cross with current themes of justice and peace. The Diocese of Harrisburg will host its annual Young Adult Retreat May 22-24 at the Christian Retreat Center in East Waterford, Pa. All adults ages 18-39 are welcome to attend. St. Joseph Parish, Hanover, is hosting a pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Washington D.C., for the Dominican Rosary Pilgrimage on September 26, 2026. The Respect Life Committee at St. James Parish in Lititz will have a pro-life benefit breakfast featuring Bishop Ronald Gainer as the speaker on April 19 after the 8:30 a.m. Mass. The breakfast will take place in the parish hall. Celebrate life from conception to natural death while supporting three pro-life ministries: A Woman’s Concern, House of His Creation, and North Star Initiative. St. John the Baptist in New Freedom is hosting the International Eucharistic Miracles Exhibit in the main church atrium on April 10-12, the powerful display designed and created by St. Carlo Acutis. The Columbiettes of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Mechanicsburg will host Joanne Castner for a presentation on immigration at the Texas border, on April 15 at 7 p.m. in Menniti Hall. In 2022, Castner visited El Paso, Texas, and Juarez, Mexico with a group sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas and the St. Columban Mission for Justice, Peace and Ecology to see firsthand the immigration situation. In her presentation, “Welcoming the Stranger,” Castner will speak on what she learned about the root causes of immigration and how our nation’s policies have changed in recent months. York Catholic High School’s art students are hosting a public display of their work at the school May 4-6 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Students in grades 7-11 are showing their work completed during this school year, while students in grade 12 are showing a compilation of their work from throughout their school career. The manager will be responsible for coordinating and implementing all aspects of residential care and services required to meet the needs of residents. The Program Manager ensures staff members comply with agency standards; schedules and coordinates staff and volunteers to ensure ongoing supervision and quality care of residents; develops and operates within a yearly budget; supervises the day-to-day cleanliness, safety guidelines and general conditions of the grounds and agency vehicles; and reviews and signs off on all Individual Service Plans and Aftercare Plans.
