Masses & Prayer Services

St. Thomas More Feast Day Mass, June 22 at 8:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Church in Camp Hill. The Mass is sponsored by the Saint Thomas More Society of Central Pennsylvania, an organization of Catholic lawyers, judges, public office holders, paralegals, legal assistants, and law students. The Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Ronald Gainer. The purpose of this Mass is to gather to pray for God’s guidance and to invoke blessings, through the intercession of Thomas More and John Fisher, upon those who work in the administration of justice or government. It also marks the start of Religious Freedom Week.

Education & Enrichment

Immaculate Conception BVM Parish in Fairfield will host the Vatican Exhibit of the Eucharistic Miracles of the World, from June 5 after the 5 p.m. Mass until June 13. Exhibit begins after the 5 pm. Mass on June 5 until 7 p.m. On June 6, it will be open after all morning Sunday Masses until 3 p.m. From June 7-12, it will open after the 8 a.m. Masses until 2 p.m., and reopen from 5-7p.m. On June 13, the exhibit will open after Sunday Mass at 8 a.m. and close at noon. This photographic exhibit tells the stories of 153 Church-approved Eucharistic Miracles, displaying the events where the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist has been made physically present in flesh and blood, became luminous or appeared with images. The inspiration for this exhibit began with Blessed Carlo Acutis who was Beatified on Oct.10, 2020. Please come and bring your family. Address is 256 Tract Road, Fairfield, PA 17320.

Knights of Columbus Council 17028 of St. Phillip the Apostle Parish in Millersville is sponsoring a blood drive on June 20 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Parish Activity Center. Father’s Day raffle and bake sale at the St. Pauline Center in Kulpmont, June 18 from noon-6 p.m. and June 19 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. More than 100 items to be raffled, including a TV, patio heater, lottery tree, autographed Tony Romo helmet, plus additional items for men and women. Cost is $20 for a sheet of 26 tickets; after initial purchase, additional sheets are $10. The center is handicap accessible, and COVID-safety recommendations are followed.

Mary, Gate of Heaven Parish in Myerstown will hold the MGH Summerfest festival June 24-26. Come enjoy all the great festival foods and games, and entertainment you’ve missed for the last two years. Midway games, basket raffles, food court. Festival hours are 5-10:30 p.m. Bands play from 7-10 p.m., featuring Veritgo Vibe on Thursday, Firestorm on Friday and Ricky and the Rockets on Saturday. Mary Mother of the Church Parish in Mount Joy will have a “Christmas in July Bazaar,” July 17 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Event includes a chicken dinner sale for $10 per dinner, “Stuff the Bus” school supplies collection, and a food pantry collection to benefit school lunch and senior citizen.
