St. Catherine Labouré Parish in Harrisburg will celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday, April 27, with a service beginning at 1 p.m. with Exposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The homilist will be Bishop Ronald Gainer. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be recited at 3 p.m., followed by Vespers and Benediction at 4 p.m. Confession will be available.

The Diocese of Harrisburg is hosting a series of online conversations and in-person presentations on Laudato Si’ to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Pope Francis’ encyclical, Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home. The series will be offered in May as an opportunity for participants to connect with one another, the Diocese of Harrisburg and individuals who dedicate their time and ministry to the goals of Laudato Si’. The Columbia Catholic Mental Health Ministry is hosting a training event for youth, aimed at equipping them with essential mental health awareness and suicide prevention skills. The Mental Health Awareness and QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Training will take place on Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church Parish Center in Columbia. This training is open to youth ages 12 and older, as well as adult counselors. Parental consent is required for students under 18 who wish to participate in the QPR segment. The event, which is in partnership with Columbia Catholic Youth Ministry, includes a half-hour break for pizza, which will be provided.
The two-part training includes Mental Health Awareness (MHA) Training and QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Training. Sessions will be conducted by Jayne Miller, an experienced mental health educator affiliated with WellSpan Health who serves as WellSpan’s Lebanon County Crisis Intervention Counselor and has extensive experience in mental health crisis intervention, education and outreach. The Columbia Catholic Mental Health Ministry is a collaboration between St. Peter and Holy Trinity parishes. Registration is free but required by May 5. The Diocesan Camp at Kirchenwald is seeking volunteers to assist at its residential camp for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities from August 10-15, 2025. The camp is dependent on volunteers, with a particular need for volunteers who can spend the night. There are no special qualifications or minimum time required for volunteering. All volunteers are required to complete the Diocese of Harrisburg Youth Protection Clearances. There is no cost to volunteers; all meals, events, campground activities, etc. are included. Knights of Columbus Council #13100 of St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Mechanicsburg will have their fifth annual car show, May 31 (rain date June 7) from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. All makes and models are welcome. York Catholic High School’s art students are hosting a public display of their work at the school May 5-7 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Students in grades 7-11 are showing their work completed during this school year, while students in grade 12 are showing a compilation of their work from throughout their school career.
