Deacons serving in the Diocese of Harrisburg gathered for the celebration of Mass and a picnic at St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Mechanicsburg on Saturday, August 12. Their annual Mass and gathering is aimed at strengthening bonds between the deacons in a brotherhood that extends across the classes of deacons ordained in 1978, 1983, 2010 and 2020.
During the afternoon gathering, the deacons and their families came together for Mass celebrated by Bishop Timothy Senior and enjoyed a picnic afterwards to share time with each other and their new bishop.
