With food, music and displays of items celebrating faith and culture, the diocese’s Black Catholic Apostolate hosted its annual cookout on City Island on August 23. Bishop Timothy Senior and Father Peter Rettig, parochial vicar at St. Francis of Assisi in Harrisburg, took part in the celebration, which welcomed a record number of attendees this year.
