As Catholic Schools Week celebrations were drawing to a close across the country, Bishop Timothy Senior celebrated Holy Mass for Trinity High School’s administration, faculty, student body and benefactors on January 30. After Mass, he blessed the new band and musical room additions and renovations. The additions now give Trinity’s band and music departments ample space and technology to prepare for performances.
“There is a great loyalty here at Trinity, and that is true at many of our other Catholic schools across the Diocese, but it is especially true here,” Bishop Senior said at the outset of Mass. “That loyalty goes across many generations who have attended here and then send their young people here. That is what makes a great Catholic school, and Trinity is that.”
“There is nothing more precious than you,” the bishop told the students in his homily. “It is why we are here. This school exists so that you get to know the one true God – the triune God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit…. God has made each one of us unrepeatable and has placed a light in all of us, His light.”
