Three straight sets for a District 3 three-peat. That was the storyline at the District 3 Class 2A girls’ volleyball finals on Nov. 6, as the defending champion Shamrocks of Trinity High School topped York Catholic’s Fighting Irish, 25-21, 25-16 and 25-19 for their third district title in a row.

Bishop McDevitt Speeding into November

After being shut out by a worthy opponent in Week One of the 2021 football season back in August, the Crusaders of Bishop McDevitt have been averaging 52 points per game while only giving up a mere 56 total to post a 7-1 record as the regular season nears its end and the District 3 playoffs loom large in November.
