Diocesan Notebook – August 18

The official relics of St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina are coming to Good Shepherd Church in Camp Hill on Friday, October 7. Veneration will be from 9 a.m.-8 p.m., to include recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. and Mass at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome. For more information, contact Deb at 717-761-1167, ext. 3613.

Diocesan Notebook – August 5

The annual pilgrimage to Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church in Centralia will take place on Sunday, August 21. The pilgrimage is hosted by the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia.

The next Caelorum at St. Joan of Arc Church in Hershey will be Wednesday, August 6 at 7 p.m. Join your brothers and sisters in Christ as we come together to adore, praise and worship our Lord and Savior.

A Mass to close the Diocesan phase of Synod 2021-2023 and the presentation of the Diocesan Lorica Awards will be celebrated by Bishop Ronald Gainer on Wednesday, June 29 at 6 p.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Harrisburg.

Diocesan Notebook – June 9

The St. Thomas More Society of Central Pennsylvania will host a Mass to celebrate the feast of St. Thomas More on Wednesday, June 22 at 8:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Church in Harrisburg. Father Paul M. Clark, the Bishop’s Liaison to the Society, will be the principal celebrant.

Diocesan Notebook – May 26

The Dominican Nuns of the Perpetual Rosary, Monastery of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, formerly on Lititz Pike in Lancaster, will be honoring in a special way all the deceased members of their community who have recently been moved from the former monastery property to St. Joseph’s New Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lancaster.

A Mass of Thanksgiving to God for all newly initiated and newly received will take place May 22 at 4 p.m. at St. Patrick Cathedral in Harrisburg. Parishes are asked to register and send their parishioners who were initiated and/or received during the past two years, along with sponsors, to participate in this inaugural event. Registration can be found at https://www.hbgdiocese.org/event/mass-of-thanksgiving/. Please register by May 15, 2022.

The deadline for submissions to the biweekly Notebook/Parish Obituaries listing is every other Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. Please refer to the Publication Schedule for edition dates and deadlines.
