On March 19, the Feast of St. Joseph, Bishop Timothy Senior made a pastoral visit to St. Joseph Parish in Hanover, where he celebrated Holy Mass in both English and Spanish for the gathered faithful in the early evening as spring’s glorious twilight bathed the church in warmth.
After Mass, Bishop Senior attended a fellowship Italian dinner prepared by parishioners in their parish hall.
In his homily, the bishop extolled the virtues of St. Joseph. “He gives us an example to follow, trust and be obedient to God’s plan…. Joseph’s life is set for him and the unexpected happens to him, and I am sure he is quite overwhelmed with the responsibility…. Joseph is a good companion for me personally as a disciple of God, especially when I am struggling to say yes – I pray to him every day to ask for his intercession,” Bishop Senior said.
