Annual White Mass Celebrated at St. Joan of Arc Church in Hershey

A full church greeted Bishop Timothy Senior at the annual White Mass celebrated at St. Joan of Arc Church, Hershey, on Sunday, October 22. The Harrisburg Diocesan Guild of the Catholic Medical Association hosted the Holy Mass, attended by scores of Catholic physicians, healthcare workers, medical students, residents and their families.

During Mass, Bishop Senior gave a blessing to the medical professionals and thanked them for their dedicated service to helping the sick.

“I think healthcare professionals need our prayers now more than ever, given all the challenges they face,” Bishop Senior said. “We want to encourage more to follow in your footsteps.”

In addition, Bishop Senior expressed that all of us have been singled out by God to do a certain, specific mission in our lives. “God had chosen each of us to do His will. We always need to keep an eye on His sovereignty…. We all belong to Him. We have a choice every day. Are we going to be all in and make a commitment to Him? Are we going to make a commitment to our professions?”

The medical guild is welcoming new members. Learn more by visiting www.CathMedHarrisburg.org, visit the Harrisburg Guild of the Catholic Medical Association on Facebook, or e-mail CathMedHbg@aol.com.
